Lincolnshire EPB held a great Enterprise in Primary Schools conference on Tuesday 13th January at the Belton Woods Hotel in Grantham. The event, which was sponsored by Unleashing Enterprise, demonstrated categorically that enterprise is very much on the primary school agenda both in terms of policy and activity in the classroom.
Kevin Barton from the Qualification and Curriculum Advisory Agency (QCDA) gave an excellent presentation about where enterprise will fit in the soon-to-be-refreshed primary curriculum. There were also numerous examples of schools in Lincolnshire using enterprise to engage students as young as five to help develop creativity and thinking skills.
